In the last decade, the art and science of Abdominal Wall Reconstruction has progressed manifold. There has been a renewed interest amongst the surgical community in the subject of hernia and core health. This energised curiosity in exploring the new field of AWR has led to a better understanding of the subject as well as development of many newer procedures.

The AWR Surgeons’ Community is an international body that has been working relentlessly since 2017 to help surgeons connect and share amongst themselves and to help make hernia surgery safer and better for each patient.

In 2018, the AWRSC organised a landmark international conference at New Delhi, the IHC New Delhi 2018 that created ripples worldwide.

In 2023, we are bringing up another blockbuster event “AWR Deep Impact” at New Delhi, almost as a 5th anniversary of the 2018 meeting. This academic feast will have renowned International and national faculty keen to share their knowledge and experiences. The conference will include exclusive courses by the masters in the field to enhance the skills of fellow surgeons. Live surgeries will include the newest and most exciting developments in surgery, including Fasciotens and Robotic AWR, led by their innovators themselves.

If you are newly venturing into the art of AWR or have been practising it, this is the time and place to sharpen your skills even further.

We expect a full house of delegates which include surgeons from across the world, with 900 registrations already in place.
